Privacy Policy

Effective date: 13 August 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Argus Minerals Limited (“Argus Minerals”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, stores and protects personal data in connection with this website and our business relationships.

1. Who we are

Argus Minerals Limited is a Hong Kong-based industrial minerals trading and commercial platform. For the purposes of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) of Hong Kong (the “PDPO”), Argus Minerals is the data user responsible for personal data described in this Policy.

2. Personal data we may collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

  • your name, business email address, telephone number, job title and company details;
  • inquiry, application, specification, estimated-volume and destination-market information you choose to provide;
  • correspondence, meeting records and information connected with a customer, supplier, distributor or other business relationship;
  • due-diligence, compliance, invoicing and transaction information where relevant to a proposed or existing relationship; and
  • technical information generated when you use the website, such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring page and basic access logs.

Providing personal data is generally voluntary. If information needed to assess or respond to an inquiry is not provided, we may be unable to proceed with that request.

3. How we collect personal data

We may obtain personal data directly from you through email, telephone, meetings, website inquiries and commercial correspondence. We may also receive it from your organisation, authorised representatives, business partners, publicly available professional sources, or service providers supporting a legitimate business process.

4. How we use personal data

We may use personal data to:

  • respond to inquiries and discuss applications, samples, specifications, pricing, logistics and supply requirements;
  • establish, manage and develop customer, supplier, distributor and professional relationships;
  • conduct appropriate due diligence, trade-control, sanctions, credit, fraud-prevention and compliance checks;
  • administer transactions, records, payments, documentation, claims and contractual obligations;
  • operate, secure, maintain and improve our website, systems and business processes;
  • protect our legal rights, investigate concerns and comply with applicable laws, regulatory requirements and lawful requests; and
  • send business updates or marketing communications where permitted and, where required, with your consent.

We will not use personal data for a new purpose unrelated to the purpose for which it was collected without the prescribed consent or another basis permitted by applicable law.

5. Direct marketing

We will not use or transfer your personal data for direct marketing in contravention of the PDPO. Where consent is required, we will seek it before sending such communications. You may ask us to stop at any time by using the unsubscribe method provided or by emailing us.

6. Sharing personal data

We may share personal data, on a need-to-know basis, with our personnel and with carefully selected parties that support our business, including processing and logistics partners, agents, information-technology and hosting providers, banks, insurers, auditors, legal and professional advisers, and compliance service providers. We may also disclose information to regulators, law-enforcement bodies, courts or other parties where required or permitted by law, or in connection with a genuine corporate transaction.

We do not sell personal data. Service providers acting for us are expected to process personal data only for authorised purposes and to apply appropriate confidentiality, retention and security measures.

7. International transfers

Argus Minerals operates across international markets. Personal data may therefore be accessed, processed or stored in Hong Kong, Pakistan or other jurisdictions connected with a relevant business relationship or service provider. Where personal data is transferred outside Hong Kong, we take practicable steps appropriate to the circumstances to protect it and to require recipients to handle it consistently with this Policy and applicable law.

8. Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to maintain appropriate business and transaction records, or to satisfy legal, accounting, compliance and dispute-resolution requirements. We then securely delete, anonymise or otherwise dispose of the data where practicable.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal data against unauthorised or accidental access, processing, erasure, loss or use. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and users should take care when sending confidential or commercially sensitive information.

10. Cookies and website data

Our website may use essential technologies and access logs needed to deliver, secure and maintain the site. If we introduce non-essential analytics or similar technologies, we will provide appropriate notice and consent controls where required. You can also manage cookies through your browser settings, although blocking essential technologies may affect site operation.

11. Access and correction rights

Subject to the PDPO, you may request confirmation of whether we hold your personal data, access to that data, and correction of inaccurate data. We may ask for information needed to verify your identity and locate the relevant records, and may charge a reasonable fee where permitted by law.

12. Third-party websites

This website may contain links to third-party websites or services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and Argus Minerals is not responsible for those practices.

13. Children

This website is intended for business and professional users and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly seek to collect personal data from persons under 18 through this website.

14. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices, services or legal obligations. The revised version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
